Musical Journey
Ramon “RJ” Jacinto’s musical journey is one of innovation, passion, and patriotism. At 15, he formed RJ and The Riots, pioneering Filipino rock with electric guitars and original songs. He founded the country’s first multi-track studio and DZRJ, the Philippines’ first rock radio station—bringing global sounds to local airwaves. Through Martial Law and exile, RJ’s music became a voice of resistance, culminating in Radyo Bandido during the 1986 EDSA Revolution. He revived live music with Bistro RJ, launched RJ TV and RJ Productions to support local talent, and built RJ Guitars into a global brand. Still performing into his 80s, RJ is a true icon who shaped the sound of a nation.
